A Digital Experience Agency

Redonkian Spotlight: Phill

I lead the creative team, client digital strategy, and am also responsible for overall company direction. My first car was an electric metallic blue Cutlass Supreme, but over the years, I’ve developed a taste for German engineering. While not at work, you’ll find me cooking delicious meals for my family, spending too much time watching football, or obsessing over the latest world news events.

Here’s a little bit more about me:

Favorite beer or wine? Both are good, but I consider myself more of a wine and bourbon snob (especially a glass of Italian wine from Piedmont) than a beer connoisseur. However, I do enjoy both.

Favorite vacation spot? Having Latin roots, I enjoy exploring with my family anywhere in Spain, especially San Sebastian and the broader Basque region.

Best TV show of all time? Dateline and 60 Minutes are my all-time favorite TV shows, but lately, I’m more of an NFL football fan (especially NY Jets games). From time to time, I get into the Real Housewives series (if you ask me about it, though, I’ll disavow any knowledge of it).

Favorite movie? I can’t pick just one movie; some of my all-time favorites include The Godfather I and II, American Beauty, Life of Pie, Lion, Lost in Translation, Marriage Story, and Forest Gump. I lose myself in movies about family and/or relationship dysfunction.

I need a restaurant recommendation, where should I go? It depends on what city, but by far, the best food I’ve had has been in Spain. From Michelin-starred restaurants to food from a market stall in Spain and any restaurant in San Sebastian, I consider top-notch.

You’ve committed a serious crime like putting dirty dishes in the sink and are sentenced to death. What would your last meal be? Spanish Paella or maybe a Ribeye steak chased by a glass of fine Italian red wine.

If you could have dinner with 3 people, living or dead, who would you dine with? My father, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Richard Dawkins

How do you drink your coffee? I quit drinking coffee, and my daily go-to is now black or green iced tea.

If you could do one thing other than work for Redonk, what would it be? Outside of work, food and learning about how people cope with life are deep personal interests. I studied to be a family therapist, so if I wasn’t involved with Redonk, I might be a chef or a family therapist.
